The most misunderstood
statement about a quarterback is when someone says that a quarterback has a great arm. When people say comments like that,
they mean that he can throw far, he has a great spiral or he has great accuracy. But in reality,
throwing far doesn't have anything to do with the arm, it all has to do with the way the quarterback twist his hips. A great
spiral comes from how he follows through, like snapping his thumb down and letting his fingers roll off. Accuracy comes from
how the quarterback steps. When throwing the ball, the quarterback must take a short 6 inch stride step. When a quarterback
takes a big stride step, he is going to mess up the throw. But that is not all, the quarterback must step 10 degrees of his
target so that his belly button is pointing to his target.
